SME Accounting Management Execellence Award 2005/06

Introduction

The SME Accounting Management Excellence Award (SME AMEA) organized by ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Hong Kong was first launched in 2003 and is funded by the SME Development Fund of the Trade and Industry Department of HKSAR Government. This is the second year the Award is being organized.

The Award aims to introduce the best practice of accounting management to SMEs and recognise those SMEs which have successfully implemented proper accounting systems and appreciated the use of financial information in their daily operations.

Seito won Awards

Although software business is risky, we still maintain a high quality management. We are assessed and awarded 2nd Runner-up and the Winner of Best Corporate Governance Award. As recommended by the Judges, building a corporate culture is fundamental to excellent accounting management as well as good corporate governance. A top-down approach should be adopted so as to cascade the message of the importance of accounting management and corporate governance down to the operation level.

Like other SMEs, we have limited resources and because of such, we strived to maximize growth through the implementation of a well pre-set management schedule to control our budget. We believe that regular reviews of day-to-day operations will help locate and solve problems in a timely manner that will greatly enhance our long-term corporate growth.
